Thinner and lighter: Apple the new iPad Air

Today is an exciting day for the tech geek in all of us, as Apple introduces its newest product, the iPad Air.  Apple’s iPad has undergone a makeover to become thinner, lighter and faster then ever before. With all these new changes it’s even been rebranded to the iPad Air. Wow, we love it! If your sitting their wondering what kind of updates you can expect from this new iPad, here’s what you need to know.

The new body is just 7.5mm thin similar to the MacBook Air and only weighs one pound. It offers a 9.7 inch full retina display and a 5 mega pixel camera on the back. This new flatter body allows carrying and lifting the iPad much easier for everyday usage. The screen has better illumination and there is even a new camera on the front for all your FaceTime video calls.

Equipped with the new A7 chip and a 64 bit architecture Apple says is 8 times faster and has 72 times better graphics performance than the old processor making productivity for business and creatives much more enjoyable. Apple even plans on including its flagship iLife and iWork apps for free with this latest update.

The new Air will start at 499 for the 16GB model and be available in silver and space grey starting November 1 and will be equipped with iOS 7. For more information you can watch the full video here.
